Deutsche Infanterie
Erster Welktrieg, 1914–1918

Deutsche Reserve-Infanterie mit Pickelhaube, 1914–1916, 1:76 Airfix 01726.

Airfix German Reserve Infantry wearing a modified version of the M.1910 field-grey uniform without cuffs, und die Pickelhaube with camouflage cover. The M.1915 Feldbluse was introduced in Autumn of 1915 und slowly replaced the modified M.1910 uniform. The field blouse had a single row of covered buttons down the front, plain cuffs, und no piping along seams. Grey slip-on covers were sometimes worn to hide the regimental numeral on the shoulder strap. The Pickelhaube was replaced by the Stahlhelm in early 1916, but some units continued to wear the older helmet type for some time, even within the same battalion. By 1916 the Pickelhaube was often worn in combat without the conspicuous helmet spike (Pickel).
