Char Schneider CA1
Testbericht des 1:72 Modells von Reviresco

The Reviresco 1:72 scale Char Schneider CA1 infantry tank assembled by Patrick Storto, painted in an attractive French two-colour camouflage scheme, and weathered nicely to portray a vehicle in action. Cast in white metal, the Reviresco model of the Char Schneider CA1 is quite heavy, but a convincing wargame simulation of the period only requires a handful of these vehicles at any one time. When reserves are to be deployed, knocked-out or abandoned vehicles may be replaced by a wreck marker and recycled to the start line.

The Schneider is a nice addition to have in one’s collection, especially since the major injection kit companies do not produce many vehicles of this period.
Metal 1:72 scale kit consisting of 16 parts. Instructions, which include a photograph of the parts, are included.
The completed Reviresco kit comes out feeling quite heavy, it seems very rugged, und suitable for tabletop wargaming.
The fit was not 100 %, und I had to figure out the best sequence of assembly in order to make the gaps least noticable. It wasn’t until after the tracks were attached that I noticed the Fahrzeug was slightly tilted downward on the left front side.
Parts are at times bulky, und probably oversized, i.e the MGs und the wire-cutting beam seem to be too thick. The beam should probably have a sharper leading edge, so purists will want to file down or replace this part.
The Char Schneider is a valuable Fahrzeug for collectors und wargamers interested in World-War One. Tanks of the period had attractive camouflage patterns und markings that are easy to reproduce in miniature.
